ToxIN project first scientific paper is published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials
Our first scientific paper derived from ToxIN project is now published in the prestigious Journal of Hazardous Materials (IF2 = 12.2).
In this paper, we demonstrated how integration of in vitro testing with PBTK modeling and analysis of sensitive populations can advance the assessment of risks from PFOA exposure. Our results indicate that long-term exposure to low PFOA concentrations can cause endothelial cell damage and that individual populations – including those with kidney, liver disease and obesity – are at higher risk compared to a healthy adult population.

SETAC Europe 35th Annual Meeting, 11-15 May 2025, Vienna, Austria
Our team member Marija Opacic participated in the 35th Annual Meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Europe, which took place from 11 to 15 May in Vienna, Austria. The main theme of this year’s meeting – “Innovation for Tomorrow: Progress in Safe and Sustainable Concepts” – fully corresponded to the idea of the ToxIN project. 4th International Student Conference – DISC2024, 5-6 December 2024, Novi Sad Serbia
