ToxIN project was presented at the national conference dedicated to current issues in the field of chemical legislation, titled “Chemical Legislation in Practice 2025”. Conference was held on May 27th at the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Novi Sad. The focus of the conference was on the latest amendments to EU regulations (REACH, CLP, BPR), as well as alignment with domestic legislation. Special attention was given to: # New hazard classes under the CLP Regulation (endocrine disruptors, PBT, PMT); # Legal obligations and notification of chemical mixtures; # Regulations related to PFAS substances; # Implementation of EU regulations in the Republic of Serbia.
Prof. Dr. Nebojša Andrić, ToxIN project leader presented the project and a portion of our research results to the attendees among which there were also representatives of renowned companies in the field of chemical regulation: SGS – global leader in inspection, verification, testing, and certification; REGARTIS – consulting support for REACH, CLP, and other regulations; Bens Consulting – experts in local and EU chemical regulations

On 10.03.2025., our team member, Bojana Stanic have given the popular talk on “Forever chemicals” to the students of the Faculty of Sciences University of Novi Sad. She discussed what classifies certain chemicals as “Forever chemicals”, what are PFAS, where they can be found, how dangerous they are to human health and what scientists around the world, including us at the ToxIN project, are doing to get to know them better.

ToxIN project and “Forever chemicals” were presented to the members of the Scientific and research society of biology and ecology students “Josif Pančić”, Department of biology and ecology, Faculty of Sciences, Univeristy of Novi Sad.
